Esty Grabs Coveted Emily's List Endorsement

Stealth 5th District candidate Elizabeth Esty pops up today with a huge endorsement from the liberal-learning Emily's List -- a backing that could mean big money for the upstart Democratic challenger hoping to catch the surging Chris Donovan.

Donovan, the House Speaker, has been attracting Democrats with magnetic force. Emily's List may give pause to the zombie march to make the Meriden Democrat the party's nominee in the hard-fought fifth. During the last election cycle, Emily's List, which backs pro-choice Democratic candidates (sorry Andrew Roraback!), raised nearly $40 million in 2009-2010.
